Ganesha Ecoverse Ltd reported audited standalone profit of Rs. 124.78 lakh for FY 2026, turning around from a loss of Rs. 146.42 lakh in FY 2025. However, this turnaround was primarily due to an exceptional item of Rs. 780.65 lakh from reversal of accumulated dividend on preference shares. Revenue from operations collapsed to Rs. 36.18 lakh from Rs. 718.21 lakh, a 95% decline. On a consolidated basis, the company still reported a loss of Rs. 520.74 lakh, though improved from Rs. 1,483.73 lakh loss previously. The associate company GESL Spinners contributed a loss of Rs. 645.53 lakh. Operating cash flow was negative at Rs. 359.78 lakh. The auditors issued unmodified opinions on both standalone and consolidated results.
The massive revenue collapse raises serious concerns about the company's core business viability. While the preference share restructuring provided a one-time accounting benefit, the underlying operations are generating significant losses and negative cash flows. Shareholders should be cautious given the deteriorating business fundamentals despite the headline profit.
