Garware Hi-Tech Films reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results, reviewed (unmodified) by joint auditors V Sankar Aiyar & Co. and Kirtane & Pandit LLP. Standalone revenue from operations came in at Rs. 452.64 crore, up marginally from Rs. 449.12 crore a year ago (+0.8%), but total income fell to Rs. 466.74 crore from Rs. 477.20 crore because other income nearly halved. Standalone net profit dropped sharply to Rs. 74.59 crore from Rs. 104.03 crore (-28.3%), with basic EPS at Rs. 32.11 vs Rs. 44.78 last year. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations grew about 4.3% to Rs. 494.99 crore, but consolidated net profit slipped to Rs. 83.02 crore from Rs. 88.35 crore (-6%), with EPS at Rs. 35.73. The company continues to operate in a single segment — polyester films — and subsidiaries contributed Rs. 176.96 crore in revenue and Rs. 6.96 crore in net profit.
Standalone earnings disappointed with a ~28% YoY profit fall despite steady top line, pointing to meaningful margin compression that could weigh on near-term sentiment. Consolidated results were more resilient, and the clean auditor review with no qualifications is reassuring, but investors should watch whether margin pressure persists in coming quarters.
