Gautam Gems Limited has filed its audited financial results for Q4 FY25 and the full year ended March 31, 2025. Revenue from operations fell to Rs 7,834.01 lakhs from Rs 10,134.08 lakhs in FY24, a decline of about 22.7%. Profit after tax (PAT) dropped to Rs 28.42 lakhs from Rs 38.26 lakhs, a fall of around 25.7%, with EPS at Rs 0.07 versus Rs 0.09 earlier. On a positive note, Q4 FY25 posted a profit of Rs 3.23 lakhs compared to a loss of Rs 18.24 lakhs in Q4 FY24, and operating cash flow swung to a positive Rs 30.41 lakhs from a deeply negative Rs 2,601.30 lakhs. Short-term borrowings rose about 49% to Rs 640.26 lakhs, while total assets declined to Rs 7,109.34 lakhs. The statutory auditor, AKGVG & Associates, issued an unmodified opinion but flagged as 'Other Matters' that certain trade receivables and payables over 3 years old are under litigation, and miscellaneous expenditure was not written off as required by IND AS.
Topline and full-year profits shrank meaningfully versus last year, which may weigh on the stock in the short term, though the Q4 turnaround to profit and the sharp swing to positive operating cash flow are encouraging signs. Investors should watch the rising short-term borrowings and the unresolved old trade receivables under dispute noted by the auditor.
