GE Vernova T&D India reported strong Q2 FY26 results with revenue from operations of Rs 1,538.4 crore, up ~38.8% year-on-year, and net profit of Rs 299.5 crore, up ~107% year-on-year. Half-yearly revenue rose to Rs 2,868.6 crore and net profit to Rs 590.7 crore, more than double the prior year. The Board approved a Rs 806 crore investment to expand facilities at Vadodara (Transformers & Reactors), Hosur, and Padappai (GIS & AIS products), with new lines for Air Core Reactors and Bushing. The expansion will raise transformer/reactor capacity by over 50% and GIS/AIS capacity by up to 25%, to be completed between 2026 and 2028, funded entirely through internal accruals. The auditor (Deloitte Haskins & Sells) issued an unqualified limited review report. The company remains net debt-free with cash and equivalents of Rs 885.5 crore as of September 30, 2025.
Sharp earnings growth, strong operating cash flow of Rs 605 crore in H1, and a debt-free balance sheet give the company room to self-fund a major capacity buildout. The expansion signals management confidence in sustained demand for power transmission equipment and positions the company to capture both domestic and export opportunities over the medium term, which is a positive structural story for shareholders.
