GE Vernova T&D India reported a strong set of numbers for Q1 FY26. Revenue from operations rose to Rs. 1,330.1 crore, up about 39% year-on-year from Rs. 958.3 crore in Q1 FY25 and also up around 15% sequentially versus Q4 FY25. Profit before tax jumped to Rs. 390 crore (vs Rs. 179.9 crore), while net profit came in at Rs. 291.2 crore versus Rs. 134.5 crore in the same quarter last year, a growth of roughly 117% year-on-year. Basic EPS doubled to Rs. 11.3 from Rs. 5.25. The auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications. The results include a Rs. 171.4 crore mark-to-market loss on forward contract cash flow hedges booked in other comprehensive income, not in the P&L.
Sharp jump in both revenue and profitability, with operating margins expanding meaningfully, signals strong order execution and improved business mix for the company. Short-term share price is likely to react positively given the beat on growth and earnings; investors should also note the large hedge-related OCI loss as a separate, non-cash item.
