GEM Enviro Management, listed on the BSE SME platform in June 2024, submitted its Annual Report for FY 2024-25. Revenue from operations surged 76% to Rs. 5,920.04 lakhs from Rs. 3,356.18 lakhs in FY 2023-24. However, profitability took a major hit — EBITDA nearly halved to Rs. 817.85 lakhs (from Rs. 1,535.55 lakhs) and PAT dropped to Rs. 608.66 lakhs from Rs. 1,129.72 lakhs. The company blames margin compression on rising EPR certificate purchase costs, new competition driving down prices, higher verification expenses, and CPCB portal glitches. GEM is a zero-debt company with ROE of 15%, and is expanding into wastewater management, battery and tyre waste EPR through a new subsidiary GEM Green Infra Tech Pvt Ltd. The 12th AGM is set for September 29, 2025 via video conferencing.
Despite strong top-line growth, sharp fall in EBITDA and PAT signals significant margin pressure that may concern short-term investors. However, zero debt, 15% ROE, recent IPO, and diversification into new EPR segments offer longer-term growth optionality. Stock may remain volatile until margin recovery becomes visible.
