GEM Enviro Management Ltd reported its audited results for FY25 with total revenue rising sharply to Rs. 600.32 crore from Rs. 342.79 crore in FY24, a jump of about 76%. However, profit before tax fell to Rs. 80.75 crore (from Rs. 153.00 crore) and profit after tax dropped to Rs. 60.87 crore (from Rs. 112.07 crore), a decline of roughly 46%, indicating heavy margin compression as expenses scaled much faster than revenue. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.25 per share (5%) on the Rs. 5 face value, subject to shareholder approval. The statutory auditors Rajiv Mehrotra & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
Despite strong top-line growth, the sharp fall in profits and margins is a red flag for shareholders — costs grew disproportionately, which could weigh on the stock in the short term. The small dividend and clean audit opinion are positives, but the disconnect between revenue and profit growth warrants close scrutiny.
