Gemstone Investments reported a sharp swing to loss in Q3 FY26, with a net loss of Rs 26.80 lakhs versus a loss of Rs 11.19 lakhs in the year-ago quarter. Revenue from operations jumped to Rs 58.02 lakhs in Q3 (vs Rs 2.39 lakhs YoY) and rose ~48% for the nine-month period to Rs 131.60 lakhs. However, total expenses surged to Rs 81.94 lakhs in Q3 (vs Rs 13.54 lakhs YoY), driven by a big jump in other expenses (Rs 62.66 lakhs), finance costs (Rs 1.63 lakhs) and bad debt write-offs of Rs 8.38 lakhs. Nine-month profit after tax collapsed to just Rs 1.72 lakhs from Rs 23.11 lakhs a year ago, and EPS for 9M stood at Rs 0.00. The company also disclosed allotment of around 3.94 crore convertible equity warrants on a preferential basis in November 2025.
Despite strong revenue growth, sharp cost inflation and a sudden Q3 loss signal operational stress; the large preferential warrant issue points to likely equity dilution ahead. Shareholders should watch for the pending Limited Review Report and the cost-control measures in upcoming quarters.
