GIC Re reported standalone profit after tax of Rs 4,619 crore for H1 FY26 versus Rs 2,897 crore a year ago, up around 60 percent. Net premium written rose to Rs 20,299 crore from Rs 19,142 crore. Combined ratio improved to 107.71 from 111.64. Solvency ratio stood at 3.85. Board declared Rs 10 interim dividend per share. Total income grew to Rs 25,183 crore. Operating cash flow was negative at minus Rs 305 crore in H1.
Strong profit growth, better combined ratio, and Rs 10 interim dividend support shareholders. Combined ratio still above 100 and negative operating cash flow are points to watch.
