Genesys International promoter and CMD Sajid Malik has pledged 920,728 equity shares (about 2.2 percent of total share capital) to HDFC Bank on July 1, 2026. The pledge acts as collateral for working capital credit facilities for the company. After this, Sajid Malik has about 21.06 lakh shares (5.04 percent of capital) pledged out of his 45.78 lakh share holding (10.96 percent). The broader promoter group, including Kilam Holdings and Kadam Holding, holds about 31.5 percent of the company.
Pledging promoter shares for working capital is routine but increases debt dependence. Watch for any fall in share price that could trigger margin calls.
