Genpharmasec Limited reported audited results for FY25 with standalone revenue from operations at Rs 3,296.36 lakhs versus Rs 3,040.57 lakhs in FY24 (about 8% growth), but other income surged to Rs 342.80 lakhs from Rs 71.76 lakhs, boosting total income to Rs 3,639.16 lakhs. Standalone profit after tax jumped sharply to Rs 246.88 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.04) from just Rs 4.61 lakhs in FY24, while Q4 standalone PAT stood at Rs 22.68 lakhs against a small loss-like Q4 FY24 base. On a consolidated basis, FY25 revenue was Rs 3,372.18 lakhs with PAT at Rs 123.12 lakhs versus a Rs 16.93 lakh loss last year, even though subsidiary Clinigenome India posted a Rs 118.95 lakh loss. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion on both sets of results, and the board appointed a new Internal Auditor (Abhishek M Agrawal & Co.) and a new Secretarial Auditor (Jaymin Modi & Co.) for FY26 onwards.
A clean audit opinion and a sharp jump in standalone and consolidated full-year PAT, led by strong other income, are positives for shareholders; however, Q4 standalone PBT slipped into a marginal loss and the consolidated Q4 also posted a loss, while loans and advances given out jumped materially, suggesting weak core operating momentum even as headline earnings improved.
