On the reaction day the stock moved 1.0 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and in line with its Other Textile Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
GHCL Textiles reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹267.75 crore, down about 7% from ₹287.93 crore in Q1 FY25, but the bottom line improved. Profit before tax rose to ₹18.11 crore from ₹15.69 crore, and net profit increased to ₹13.52 crore (₹1.41 per share) from ₹11.80 crore (₹1.24 per share) a year ago, supported by lower raw material and other expenses. The statutory auditor, S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP, issued an unmodified limited review report. Total outstanding debt stood at ₹94.70 crore with no defaults, against equity of ₹1,418.26 crore, indicating a very low leverage profile. The company also commenced commercial production of its new 25,536-spindle facility at Paravai, Madurai during the quarter.
While top-line shrank year-on-year, margin expansion and capacity addition are positive signals. Short-term stock reaction may be mixed given the revenue dip, but lower leverage and a clean auditor opinion support stable fundamentals.
