GSK Pharma reported a near-flat top line for Q1 FY26, with standalone revenue from operations at Rs. 804.8 crore versus Rs. 811.0 crore in Q1 FY25, a marginal decline of about 0.8%. Total income was broadly flat at Rs. 848.6 crore. Profit after tax rose roughly 12.7% year-on-year to Rs. 204.7 crore, helped by lower material costs and other expenses, pushing profit before tax margin to about 32.8% from 29.3% a year ago. Standalone EPS improved to Rs. 12.08 from Rs. 10.72, while consolidated PAT was Rs. 205.0 crore with EPS of Rs. 12.10. The auditors (Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP) issued an unmodified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results, and no exceptional items were recorded in the quarter.
Marginal revenue softness is offset by visible margin expansion and double-digit profit growth, indicating tight cost control. Shareholders are unlikely to see a sharp reaction as the final Rs. 42 per share dividend for FY25 has already been approved and results are steady rather than disruptive.
