Global Capital Markets Ltd reported a Q3FY26 profit of ₹45.04 lakhs, a strong swing from a loss of ₹185.63 lakhs in Q3FY25. Total revenue from operations for the quarter rose 87% year-on-year to ₹74.74 lakhs, driven by higher interest income and share sale proceeds. For the nine months ended December 2025, the company posted a profit of ₹178.79 lakhs versus a loss of ₹26.16 lakhs a year ago, though 9M revenue dipped about 10.5% YoY to ₹252.83 lakhs. Basic and diluted EPS stood at ₹0.01 for the quarter and ₹0.04 for 9M FY26. The statutory auditor, in an 'Other Matter' note, flagged that interest income has not been recognized on roughly ₹9.65 crore of outstanding advances and loans, and that sufficient documents were not provided to verify the applicable interest rate.
The sharp return to profitability is a clear positive for shareholders, but the auditor's red flag on ₹9.65 crore of unverified advances earning no interest is a meaningful asset-quality concern for a finance & investment company and may weigh on the stock until clarified.
