The Board of Gloster Limited approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). On a standalone basis, revenue from operations grew 28.5% year-on-year to Rs. 17,019 lakhs, while profit after tax rose around 44% to Rs. 414 lakhs, supported by a strong performance in the jute goods segment. On a consolidated basis, however, the company swung to a loss of Rs. 232 lakhs from a profit of Rs. 300 lakhs in the same quarter last year, hit by higher taxes and weakness in the cables business. The statutory auditor flagged an emphasis of matter on a pending trademark ownership dispute and raised a qualification on how revenue from a large government-related contract was recognized (gross vs net basis), though this had no impact on net profit. The Board also noted a fine imposed by BSE for a delay in filing Related Party Transaction statements for H2 FY25 and decided to pay it under protest while applying for a waiver.
Mixed picture for shareholders: the core standalone jute business is showing healthy growth, but the consolidated entity is loss-making and carries auditor qualifications plus ongoing litigation risk. Investors should watch the cable segment turnaround and resolution of the trademark dispute.
