Goel Food Products Ltd, which operates banquet halls, Indian sweets and snack shops, hotels and a guest house under the 'BIKA' brand in Kolkata, announced its audited financial results for FY25. Revenue from operations rose marginally to Rs 2,452.14 lakh (from Rs 2,414.08 lakh in FY24), while other income increased to Rs 103.28 lakh. Profit after tax was Rs 505.51 lakh versus Rs 500.24 lakh last year, with EPS of Rs 2.68 (vs Rs 2.65). Total balance sheet size grew to Rs 6,196.54 lakh from Rs 5,843.04 lakh. The statutory auditor, M/s R Kothari & Co LLP, issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. Share capital rose sharply from Rs 377.04 lakh to Rs 1,885.20 lakh, with a corresponding drop in reserves, suggesting a bonus issue or capital restructuring. Loans and advances remain substantial at Rs 2,782.38 lakh (long-term) and Rs 942.29 lakh (short-term), of which Rs 204.20 lakh is to related parties.
Results are largely flat year-on-year with revenue and PAT growing only modestly (~1.5% and ~1%), implying limited near-term earnings catalyst. The sharp increase in share capital (likely a bonus issue) will increase the share count and dilute EPS going forward. Existing shareholders should note the large related-party lending and pending confirmations flagged in the audit's Emphasis of Matter.
