Goodyear India reported Q1FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 656.2 crore, down about 5% YoY from Rs. 691.4 crore in Q1FY25. Profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 14.1 crore from Rs. 25 crore, a decline of roughly 44% YoY, though it nearly tripled sequentially from Rs. 4.9 crore in Q4FY25. Total expenses rose modestly while other income stayed flat, and PBT margin compressed to about 2.9% from 4.8% a year ago, indicating margin pressure. EPS stood at Rs. 6.12 versus Rs. 10.85 in the year-ago quarter. The statutory auditors, Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Weak YoY performance — both top line and bottom line shrank meaningfully compared to Q1FY25, which is negative for near-term sentiment. However, sequential recovery from a soft Q4 and a clean audit opinion limit the downside, so the stock reaction will likely depend on whether the margin pressure persists in coming quarters.
