Gopal Snacks Ltd reported FY26 results with total income of Rs 15,127 million (up 2.7% YoY) and net profit of Rs 736.53 million, a surge of 287.7% from Rs 189.98 million in FY25. Q4 FY26 net profit stood at Rs 299.47 million compared to a loss of Rs 395.12 million in Q4 FY25. The sharp profit increase is partly due to fire incident insurance recovery: the company received Rs 374.64 million in insurance claims during FY26, resulting in a net exceptional gain of Rs 393.24 million. For Q4 FY26 alone, the exceptional gain was Rs 174.93 million. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The board declared a 3rd interim dividend of Rs 0.40 per share (40%) for FY25-26, payable by June 10, 2026. The company also appointed M/s Haribhakti & Co. LLP as internal auditor for FY26-27.
The stock delivered strong bottom-line growth despite modest revenue expansion, driven primarily by insurance recoveries from the December 2024 fire incident. The clean auditor opinion and dividend declaration are positives for investor confidence.
