GPT Healthcare, which operates ILS Hospitals, reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹10,710.86 lakhs, up about 9.5% from ₹9,781.98 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Total income rose to ₹10,867.16 lakhs from ₹10,005.59 lakhs. However, profit after tax fell sharply to ₹768.18 lakhs from ₹996.45 lakhs, a decline of roughly 23%. Profit before tax dropped to ₹1,111.36 lakhs from ₹1,466.89 lakhs. EPS for the quarter stood at ₹0.94 versus ₹1.94 a year ago. The fall in profits was driven by higher depreciation (up ~32%), sharply higher finance costs (up ~90%), and rising employee and material costs. Statutory auditor S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP issued an unmodified limited review conclusion.
While topline growth is healthy, the sharp ~23% drop in PAT and rising cost lines (depreciation, finance costs) suggest margin pressure, which is negative for near-term earnings sentiment despite stable revenue growth.
