Greaves Cotton reported strong Q2 FY26 results with standalone revenue from operations rising to Rs 551.66 Cr, up about 18% from Rs 467.52 Cr in Q2 FY25. Standalone profit after tax jumped to Rs 52.59 Cr versus Rs 38.56 Cr a year ago, a ~36% increase, while H1 FY26 standalone PAT grew ~45% to Rs 109.23 Cr from Rs 75.11 Cr. Consolidated revenue for the quarter rose ~15.6% to Rs 815.46 Cr, with consolidated profit attributable to owners improving sharply to Rs 26.01 Cr from Rs 3.22 Cr. The Engines segment drove growth (Q2 segment profit Rs 95.05 Cr vs Rs 67.01 Cr), while Electric Mobility remained loss-making at Rs (49.70) Cr though narrower than the Rs (56.62) Cr loss a year ago. The statutory auditor for this review is Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP, which replaced the previous auditors who had reviewed the Q1 FY26 results. Results carry an unqualified limited review conclusion.
Strong standalone earnings beat driven by the core Engines business, with double-digit revenue growth and sharp PAT expansion signaling operating leverage and improving profitability for shareholders. The mid-year change of statutory auditor to Price Waterhouse and continued losses in Electric Mobility are points investors may track, though overall the results are positive for the stock.
