GRP Limited announced its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) standalone and consolidated financial results, approved at a board meeting on 25 July 2025. Standalone revenue from operations stood at Rs 11,922.36 lakhs, down about 2.8% from Rs 12,261.52 lakhs in Q1 FY25, while standalone profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 325.44 lakhs from Rs 596.70 lakhs, a decline of roughly 45% year-on-year. On a consolidated basis, PAT dropped even more steeply to Rs 174.80 lakhs from Rs 436.60 lakhs. The board also approved reducing its External Commercial Borrowing from PROPARCO from EUR 15 million to EUR 12 million and approved procuring solar power for its Gujarat and Maharashtra plants by investing in Amplus Energy Solutions and GSE Renewables under a group captive arrangement. The statutory auditor (Rajendra & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review report on both sets of results.
The sharp YoY drop in profits despite only a modest revenue decline points to significant margin pressure for shareholders, though the ECB reduction and shift to cheaper solar power could support costs and sustainability in coming quarters. The solar initiative and debt paydown are mildly positive for long-term fundamentals, but the weak quarterly earnings print is likely to weigh on near-term sentiment.
