GTV Engineering reported Q2 FY26 net sales of ₹2,450.33 lakhs, up about 4% from ₹2,356.05 lakhs in Q2 last year, but H1 FY26 revenue at ₹4,100.55 lakhs was down roughly 27% from ₹5,624.08 lakhs in H1 FY25. Profit after tax for the quarter jumped to ₹351.49 lakhs (₹115.35 lakhs a year ago), and H1 PAT more than doubled to ₹559.97 lakhs from ₹252.32 lakhs, with EPS of ₹1.20 for the half-year. A large part of the profit boost came from 'Other Income', which surged to ₹136.70 lakhs in H1 from just ₹0.98 lakhs a year earlier, and from favourable changes in inventory. The statutory auditor (Rath Dinesh & Associates) issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Headline PAT growth looks strong, but investors should note that the earnings jump is largely driven by non-operating other income and inventory adjustments, while core half-year revenue has actually shrunk by over a quarter, so the underlying business momentum is weaker than the profit numbers suggest.
