Gufic Biosciences reported Q3 FY26 (quarter ended Dec 31, 2025) standalone revenue from operations of Rs 23,109 lakhs, up about 11% year-on-year, with 9M FY26 revenue at Rs 68,842 lakhs (vs Rs 61,479 lakhs in 9M FY25). However, standalone net profit for 9M FY26 fell sharply to Rs 4,257 lakhs from Rs 6,196 lakhs a year ago, a drop of roughly 31%, and Q3 standalone PAT dipped to Rs 1,556 lakhs from Rs 1,932 lakhs. Margins came under pressure as cost of materials consumed rose about 36% and finance costs nearly doubled year-on-year. Consolidated results also showed similar trends with 9M PAT at Rs 4,232 lakhs versus Rs 6,193 lakhs. The board also approved a further investment of up to USD 50,000 in Australian biotech Selvax Pty Ltd by subscribing to 3,78,350 shares at AUD 0.20 each, to support development of an immunology-based cancer treatment. The statutory auditor (Mittal Agarwal & Co) issued an unmodified limited review report on both sets of results.
Revenue growth is steady, but a sharp fall in profit and margin compression (driven by higher raw material and interest costs) is a negative for near-term earnings sentiment. The Selvax investment is small and strategic (oncology diversification) and will not materially impact financials, though it signals long-term interest in biotech.
