On the reaction day the stock moved 0.3 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and in line with its Commodity Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

GNFC reported Q2 FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 1,968 cr (flat YoY) and PAT of Rs 177 cr, up 73% from Rs 102 cr in Q2 FY25, helped by better chemical volumes and lower input costs. H1 PAT rose to Rs 255 cr versus Rs 217 cr. Chemical segment profit nearly doubled YoY in Q2 (Rs 158 cr) while fertilizers continued to post losses (Rs 35 cr loss). The auditor flagged the pending DoT demand of Rs 21,370 cr related to VSAT and ISP licenses as an emphasis of matter. Board approved brownfield Ammonium Nitrate Melt project of 163 KTPA. Borrowings fell sharply to Rs 8 cr from Rs 99 cr.
Strong profit growth driven by chemicals segment, but pending DoT demand of Rs 21,370 cr remains a key overhang on the stock.
