GSFC reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited results. Standalone revenue from operations grew modestly to Rs 2,171.65 crore from Rs 2,143.95 crore a year ago, while net profit jumped sharply to Rs 140.03 crore from Rs 92.64 crore, a rise of about 51% year-on-year. Consolidated net profit rose even more, to Rs 138.60 crore from Rs 87.32 crore. Earnings per share stood at Rs 3.51 (standalone) versus Rs 2.32 last year. The Fertilizer Products segment remained the main revenue driver at Rs 1,618.76 crore, with Industrial Products contributing Rs 552.89 crore. The board also appointed Shri Sanjeev Kumar, IAS, as Additional Director, Managing Director and KMP, subject to shareholder approval. M/s CNK & Associates LLP was appointed as the new Statutory Auditor for three years (FY 2025-26 to FY 2027-28), and M/s Samdani Shah & Kabra as Secretarial Auditor for five years. The auditor's review report on both standalone and consolidated results was clean, with no qualifications.
Strong profit growth despite near-flat revenue suggests better cost management or margin expansion, which is positive for shareholders. The leadership transition and routine auditor rotation are administrative and do not raise governance concerns; investors will track the new MD's strategy going forward.
