Gujarat Cotex Ltd (BSE: 514386) filed audited results for FY25 and Q4 FY25 with a revised audit report. Full-year revenue from operations rose to about ₹2,130.72 lakhs from ₹1,690.84 lakhs in FY24, a growth of roughly 26%. Full-year profit after tax improved to ₹22.73 lakhs (EPS ₹0.16) from ₹18.94 lakhs (EPS ₹0.13). However, the standalone Q4 FY25 results slipped into a loss of about ₹23.81 lakhs, compared with a profit of ₹72.24 lakhs in the preceding quarter and ₹0.67 lakhs in Q4 FY24. The auditor (M/s Pawan Siddharth & Co) issued an unmodified opinion, and the company also filed the required declaration under SEBI LODR Reg. 33(3)(d). On the balance sheet, total assets more than doubled to ₹3,107.90 lakhs, but non-current borrowings jumped to ₹329.74 lakhs (from ₹99.80 lakhs) and current liabilities surged to ₹2,092.16 lakhs. Other equity remains negative at -₹26.20 lakhs, though improved from -₹48.32 lakhs.
Mixed for shareholders — strong full-year topline growth and a return to positive operating cash flow are positives, but the sharp Q4 reversal into a loss, the very thin margins, rising borrowings, and still-negative reserves are concerning. The stock may see limited near-term upside given weak quarterly profitability despite the unmodified audit opinion.
