Gujarat Fluorochemicals reported strong Q1 FY26 results, with consolidated revenue from operations rising to Rs 1,281 Cr from Rs 1,176 Cr in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 9% year-on-year. Consolidated profit after tax jumped to Rs 184 Cr from Rs 108 Cr, a sharp ~70% YoY increase, while standalone PAT grew to Rs 185 Cr from Rs 111 Cr. Operating margin expanded to 20.35% (consolidated) from 15.69% in the year-ago quarter, reflecting better cost efficiency. The Chemicals segment drove the performance, while the EV Products segment continued to report losses. The board also disclosed progress on the proposed amalgamation of holding company Inox Leasing and Finance Limited (ILFL) into GFCL, and the shifting of the registered office from Gujarat to Himachal Pradesh. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified limited review report.
Strong double-digit profit growth and margin expansion signal improving operational performance, which is positive for shareholders. However, the pending composite scheme of arrangement (amalgamation with ILFL) will lead to share cancellation and re-issuance, which could affect shareholding structure. The continuing losses in the EV Products segment remain a watchpoint.
