Gujarat Gas Limited's board approved its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) unaudited results on 5 August 2025. Standalone revenue from operations fell about 11.9% year-on-year to ₹4,065.41 crore from ₹4,614.83 crore, while net profit dipped marginally to ₹326.77 crore from ₹329.78 crore. Standalone profit before tax was ₹439.87 crore, with EPS of ₹4.75 (versus ₹4.79 in Q1 FY25). The board also approved entry into sourcing and sale of Propane/LPG to industrial customers, expanding beyond its core natural gas business. Additionally, M/s Kailash Sankhlecha & Associates was appointed as Cost Auditor for FY26, and M/s K K Patel & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for a 5-year term starting 1 April 2025. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified review report on the financials.
Revenue decline reflects ongoing volume or pricing pressure in the core gas business, but steady profit margins show cost discipline. The new LPG/Propane foray opens a fresh growth avenue, while the long pending composite amalgamation with GSPC group entities remains a key structural overhang for shareholders.
