GMDC, a Gujarat government mineral mining PSU, reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone and consolidated unaudited results. Standalone revenue from operations fell to ₹732.60 cr from ₹818.13 cr in Q1 FY25, a YoY decline of about 10.5%. Standalone net profit after tax stood at ₹164.13 cr vs ₹184.57 cr in the year-ago quarter, down roughly 11% YoY. EPS came in at ₹5.16 (Q1 FY25: ₹5.80). The mining segment (revenue ₹685.24 cr vs ₹770.30 cr) and power segment (revenue ₹47.36 cr vs ₹69.01 cr) both saw revenue contractions. The statutory auditor Dhirubhai Shah & Co LLP issued an unmodified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
The double-digit YoY decline in both top line and bottom line, driven by weaker segment revenues, is a mild negative for the stock. However, profitability margins held up reasonably and results were clean from an audit standpoint, limiting the downside surprise.
