Gujarat Themis Biosyn reported Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited results, with revenue from operations declining about 7.6% to ₹3,587 lakhs from ₹3,883 lakhs a year ago, while net profit fell roughly 31.5% to ₹906 lakhs from ₹1,324 lakhs; EPS dropped to ₹0.83 from ₹1.21. The Board approved a dividend for FY25 with September 5, 2025 fixed as the record date. The Board has called off its previously announced merger with Themis Medicare Limited and will instead focus on its core fermentation-based pharmaceutical intermediates business. The company commenced commercial production at its new multi-purpose API plant at Vapi on May 7, 2025, which is expected to support forward integration and exports to the US and Europe. Mr. Nihar Parikh (founder of 4Point0 Health Ventures) joins as Additional Independent Director from August 1, 2025, replacing Mr. Siddharth Kusumgar who retires on September 20, 2025. Auditor GMJ & Co. issued a clean (unqualified) limited review report.
Q1 results show a notable drop in both revenue and profit, partly due to higher depreciation and operating costs from the newly commissioned API plant, which may pressure the stock in the short term. However, the new plant's commissioning, abandonment of the merger to focus on the core high-margin fermentation business, and continuity in dividend are positives for long-term shareholders.
