HB Estate Developers Ltd reported Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 2,673.33 lakhs, down about 2.5% from Rs. 2,741.00 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Half-year revenue fell to Rs. 5,049.67 lakhs vs Rs. 5,305.41 lakhs, a decline of around 4.8%. Despite weaker top line, net profit for the quarter jumped sharply to Rs. 127.02 lakhs (up ~159% YoY) and H1 profit rose to Rs. 165.20 lakhs (~18% higher). The profit boost came mainly from lower finance costs (down to Rs. 430 lakhs in Q2 from Rs. 558 lakhs) and controlled operating expenses. The company operates only in the hospitality segment. During the quarter, 750,000 convertible warrants were converted into equity shares, raising paid-up capital to Rs. 22.21 crore, with another 750,000 warrants converted in October 2025.
Mixed picture for shareholders — revenue is shrinking modestly but bottom-line growth is strong thanks to reduced interest burden. The balance sheet remains highly leveraged with total borrowings of about Rs. 26,752 lakhs against equity of Rs. 17,984 lakhs (debt-equity ratio near 1.5x), which continues to be a key risk. Short-term investors may note improved profitability; long-term investors should watch for sustained debt reduction.
