H.M. Electro Mech Ltd announced its audited financial results for FY25 and the second half ended March 31, 2025, along with the auditor's report. Revenue from operations rose to ₹12,166.69 lakhs from ₹11,703.45 lakhs (~4% growth), while profit after tax grew to ₹835.07 lakhs from ₹801.01 lakhs (~4.25% growth). EPS stood at ₹7.88 for FY25 versus ₹8.01 in FY24. The board also appointed Kinkhabwala and Associates as Secretarial Auditor for FY26–FY30 and J K Hingu & Co. as Internal Auditor for FY26. The statutory auditor (SVJKand Associates) issued an unmodified opinion. The company recently listed on BSE's SME platform on January 31, 2025, raising ₹2,774.40 lakhs via IPO, of which ₹1,777.17 lakhs has been utilised as of March 31, 2025. Notably, operating cash flow turned sharply negative at ₹(579.76) lakhs in FY25 versus ₹285.55 lakhs in FY24, even as reported profits improved.
Top-line and profit growth are modest but positive, and a clean audit opinion supports credibility. However, the steep swing into negative operating cash flow despite higher reported profits — driven by a surge in trade receivables and lower trade payables — is a red flag on working capital health and cash quality of earnings for shareholders to watch closely.
