Hasti Finance Limited, a non-deposit taking NBFC, reported Q3 FY26 (Dec 2025) interest income of Rs 2.71 lakhs, sharply down from Rs 11.26 lakhs in the same quarter last year — a roughly 76% year-on-year drop. The company posted a marginal profit before tax of Rs 0.10 lakhs for the quarter. However, for the nine months ended Dec 2025, it remained in the red with a net loss of Rs 452.85 lakhs, almost entirely driven by a Rs 449.99 lakh one-time loss on derecognition of financial instruments booked in Q2 FY26. Full-year FY25 had ended with a loss of Rs 815.48 lakhs and negative EPS of Rs 7.80. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications.
Persistent revenue contraction and continued losses point to stress in the NBFC's core lending/investment business, though the Q3 quarter itself returned to a tiny profit. Shareholders should watch for further write-offs or recoveries from the derecognised financial instruments, as this remains the key swing factor for full-year FY26 results.
