Havells India reported weak Q1 FY26 results, with standalone revenue from operations falling 6.2% YoY to Rs 5,437.81 Cr (from Rs 5,798.11 Cr). Standalone profit after tax declined 14.3% to Rs 352.34 Cr (from Rs 411.18 Cr), and basic EPS fell to Rs 5.62 from Rs 6.56. Consolidated PAT dropped 14.7% to Rs 347.53 Cr. The big drag was the Lloyd Consumer segment, whose revenue plunged ~34% YoY to Rs 1,261.85 Cr and swung to a loss of Rs 19.71 Cr from a profit of Rs 67.39 Cr a year ago. Cables was the standout performer, growing ~27% to Rs 1,933.22 Cr. The company also announced a Rs 600 Cr strategic investment (9.09% stake) in solar modules maker Goldi Solar. Auditor Price Waterhouse issued an unmodified limited review report on both sets of results.
Sharply weaker quarter for shareholders, as broad-based softness, especially in Lloyd Consumer and Electrical Consumer Durables, offset strong growth in Cables. The Lloyd loss and overall margin compression could pressure the stock in the near term, though the Goldi Solar investment adds a growth optionality in renewables.
