HB Portfolio reported a strong turnaround in standalone Q3 FY26 with profit after tax of Rs. 110.07 lakhs versus a loss of Rs. 72.54 lakhs in Q2 FY26. Standalone revenue from operations for the quarter was Rs. 209.50 lakhs, recovering from a negative Rs. 20.64 lakhs in Q2. For the nine months (9M FY26), standalone revenue declined to Rs. 723.20 lakhs from Rs. 1,219.48 lakhs a year ago, mainly because the commodities trading segment contributed nothing this year versus Rs. 780.26 lakhs last year. Despite lower revenue, standalone 9M PAT jumped sharply to Rs. 416.69 lakhs (Rs. 3.87 EPS) from Rs. 154.22 lakhs, driven by stronger financial services profitability. On a consolidated basis, 9M FY26 PAT was Rs. 371.88 lakhs (vs Rs. 301.77 lakhs earlier), with EPS of Rs. 3.45. Statutory auditors N.C. Aggarwal & Co. issued an unmodified limited review opinion.
For shareholders, profitability has expanded significantly even as headline revenues shrank, indicating the company is pivoting toward its higher-margin financial services business. The improved earnings may support the stock, though investors should watch for sustained recovery given the discontinuation of commodities trading revenue.
