HDFC Life reported FY2026 consolidated net premium income of ₹77,760 million (up ~11.3% from ₹69,837 million in FY2025) and profit after tax of ₹1,912 million (up ~5.6% from ₹1,811 million). Basic EPS stood at ₹8.87 versus ₹8.41 in the prior year. Investment income declined significantly to ₹20,188 million from ₹25,955 million, largely due to negative unrealised gains in the Unit Linked segment. The solvency ratio remains healthy at 177%. The Board recommended a final dividend of ₹2.10 per share (₹1,000 crore preferential issuance to HDFC Bank at ₹688.52/share was also approved), and reappointed Niraj Shah as ED & CFO for 5 years. Joint Statutory Auditors issued an unmodified opinion with no qualifications.
Solid FY2026 results with premium growth and PAT improvement, though investment income compression due to mark-to-market losses is a watch item. The ₹1,000 crore capital raise from HDFC Bank is dilutive but strengthens capital position.
