On the reaction day the stock moved 3.4 pts less than Nifty 100 and 2.5 pts less than its Insurance peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Board approved unaudited company and group results for Q2 and half-year 2025. Company Q2 profit after tax rose 3.3% to Rs 447.15 crore; half-year profit rose 9.1% to Rs 993.61 crore. Q2 net premium income grew 13.3%, but total income fell 28.6% as investment income declined. Contingent liabilities rose 15.8% year on year. It also approved, in principle, raising up to Rs 750 crore through subordinated debt that cannot be converted into shares.
Profit growth is modest and investment income fell. The debt raise can strengthen capital, but contingent liabilities and interest costs are risks.
