Quarterly Group revenue fell 38.6% to Rs699.22 crore, but profit after tax was Rs142.19 crore versus a Rs0.23 crore loss. Half-year revenue rose 132% to Rs1,315.15 crore and profit rose 202% to Rs248.16 crore. HEG approved up to Rs633 crore of debentures from subsidiary TACC that can convert into shares. GST notices seek Rs282.34 crore per period for two years. The review found no material misstatement but flagged BEL hydro delays.
Profit improved despite weaker sales, but investment gains helped. High borrowings and the possible GST demand could weigh on sentiment.
