Heritage Foods reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of ₹11,189.4 million, up about 9.7% YoY from ₹10,195.9 million in Q1 FY25. Despite this revenue growth, standalone profit after tax fell sharply to ₹377.6 million from ₹580.1 million, a decline of roughly 35% YoY. Standalone EPS stood at ₹4.07 versus ₹6.25 a year earlier, reflecting significant margin pressure — total expenses grew faster than revenue, with notable jumps in cost of materials consumed and other expenses. Consolidated results told a similar story: revenue rose to ₹11,367.6 million (up ~10% YoY) while PAT dropped to ₹405.5 million (down ~31% YoY). The company also completed acquisition of a controlling stake in Heritage Novandie Foods Private Ltd (HNFPL) on June 16, 2025, making it a subsidiary with effect from that date. The auditor (Walker Chandiok & Co LLP) issued an unmodified limited review report on both sets of results.
Shareholders should note the disconnect between healthy topline growth and a sharp drop in profitability — a sign of cost pressure and margin compression in the dairy business. The stock may react negatively to the steep PAT decline, though the HNFPL acquisition adds a new revenue stream and segment (Feed) going forward.
