Hero MotoCorp reported its Q1 FY26 results on August 6, 2025. Standalone revenue from operations was Rs. 9,579 crore, down about 5.6% from Rs. 10,144 crore in the same quarter last year, while volumes fell to 13.67 lakh units from 15.35 lakh units. EBITDA margin held steady at 14.4%, and standalone profit after tax (PAT) was nearly flat at Rs. 1,126 crore versus Rs. 1,123 crore a year ago. On a consolidated basis, PAT surged to Rs. 1,706 crore from Rs. 1,032 crore, but this jump was driven mainly by a one-time gain of about Rs. 722 crore from the dilution of the company's stake in associates following Ather Energy's IPO. The company invested Rs. 510 crore in Euler Motors during the quarter and highlighted a temporary production pause that affected dispatch volumes. Auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP issued an unqualified review report on both sets of results.
Standalone performance shows stable margins despite weaker volumes and lower revenue, indicating cost discipline. The consolidated PAT jump is largely an accounting gain from Ather Energy's IPO rather than core operating growth, so the underlying business trend is flat to slightly weak — likely a neutral-to-mildly-negative signal for the stock in the short term.
