Hikal Limited's board approved audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025. Standalone revenue for FY25 rose ~4.3% YoY to Rs. 18,648 million, while profit after tax grew ~30% YoY to Rs. 905 million, with EPS at Rs. 7.37 vs Rs. 5.64 last year. Q4 FY25 PAT jumped to Rs. 503 million from Rs. 213 million in Q4 FY24. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.80 per share, taking total FY25 dividend to Rs. 1.40 per share (70%), up from Rs. 1.20 (60%) last year. Statutory auditor S R B C & Co. LLP issued an unmodified opinion, but flagged an emphasis of matter on a pending environmental compliance case in the Supreme Court (NGT had ordered Rs. 174.5 million compensation; the company has deposited Rs. 50 million with the court). Sameer Hiremath was redesignated as Vice Chairman & Managing Director, and new secretarial and cost auditors were appointed for FY26 onwards.
Strong PAT growth and a higher dividend payout are positives for shareholders, likely to be viewed favourably by the market. However, the ongoing environmental litigation in the Supreme Court remains a key overhang to monitor, as a negative outcome could result in additional liabilities beyond the Rs. 50 million already deposited.
