Hind Aluminium Industries Ltd announced its audited results for Q4 and full year FY25. Standalone revenue from operations came in at about Rs 7.13 Cr in FY25 versus Rs 27.04 Cr in FY24, reflecting a steep YoY decline in the core aluminium business. Despite this, the company swung back to profit on a standalone basis with a net profit of about Rs 2.31 Cr in FY25, against a loss of Rs 0.97 Cr in FY24. On a consolidated basis, net profit stood at Rs 4.81 Cr in FY25 versus a loss of Rs 0.80 Cr in FY24, largely supported by a Rs 9.69 Cr share of profit from its Oman-based associate. However, cash flow from operations turned negative at around minus Rs 3.18 Cr on a standalone basis (versus a positive Rs 0.57 Cr last year), indicating that reported profits did not translate into operating cash. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, and the board also appointed a new secretarial auditor and re-appointed the internal auditor.
A clear turnaround on the bottom line with PAT swinging from loss to profit is positive for shareholders, but the sharp revenue fall and negative operating cash flow flag underlying weakness in core operations — the consolidated profit is propped up by the Oman associate. Investors should watch whether the aluminium business can recover revenue and convert profits into cash in coming quarters.
