Hindustan Composites reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of Rs 8,708 lakhs, up about 13% from Rs 7,715 lakhs in Q1 FY25. However, net profit declined to Rs 746 lakhs from Rs 867 lakhs a year ago, with EPS at Rs 5.05 vs Rs 5.87, mainly because costs (especially other expenses at Rs 2,083 lakhs) rose faster than revenue. Total income was lifted by a sharp jump in other income to Rs 881 lakhs (vs Rs 5 lakhs in Q4 FY25). The board also confirmed the FY25 dividend recommended on 7th May 2025 will be paid between 1st and 15th October 2025, subject to AGM approval. Additionally, M/s. MR & Associates were appointed as Secretarial Auditors for five years (FY25-26 to FY29-30), and Mr. Vimal Desai was appointed as Senior Management Personnel. The statutory auditor (Lodha & Co LLP) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Mixed quarter for shareholders: top-line growth is positive, but profit pressure from rising operating costs and dependence on other income for earnings could weigh on sentiment. The confirmed dividend window in October gives investors clarity on income timing, while clean auditor remarks and stable governance appointments are neutral-to-positive signals.
