Hindustan Composites reported FY25 standalone revenue of Rs. 32,508 lakhs, up about 9.2% from Rs. 29,768 lakhs in FY24, driven by the Composite Products segment which grew roughly 13% to Rs. 28,427 lakhs. Net profit for FY25 was Rs. 3,500 lakhs (EPS Rs. 23.70) versus Rs. 3,441 lakhs (EPS Rs. 23.30) last year, though Q4 net profit dropped to Rs. 607 lakhs from Rs. 797 lakhs due to a one-time exceptional charge of Rs. 1,275 lakhs for settlement of a disputed ex-workmen claim. The board recommended a dividend of Rs. 2 per share (on Rs. 5 face value), and approved a Rs. 480 lakh capacity expansion for Railway Brake Block/Pad, adding 75,000 units per month (about 21% increase) within 7 months to meet rising demand. The statutory auditor Lodha & Co LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Positive overall for shareholders - steady revenue growth, expanding composite products margins, capacity addition to capture demand, and a healthy 40% dividend. Short-term Q4 PAT appears weak but is distorted by a non-recurring one-time settlement charge and boosted other income from a fire insurance claim and property sale.
