Hindustan Composites reported standalone revenue of Rs 37,501 lakhs for FY2026, up 15.4% from Rs 32,508 lakhs in FY2025, driven by Composite Products segment growth. However, net profit declined 11.1% to Rs 3,111 lakhs from Rs 3,500 lakhs due to an exceptional charge of Rs 291 lakhs related to New Labour Codes implementation. EPS dropped to Rs 21.06 from Rs 23.70. Q4 showed strong recovery with net profit doubling year-on-year to Rs 1,170 lakhs. The company recommended dividend of Rs 2 per share (40% payout) and approved Rs 350 lakh capacity expansion for Railway Brake Block/Pad products to be funded internally within 6 months. Auditors issued unmodified (clean) opinion.
The profit decline despite revenue growth is concerning, but Q4 momentum and capacity expansion signal confidence in core Railway segment demand. The clean audit opinion and dividend commitment provide shareholder comfort.
