HCC reported standalone Q4 FY25 net profit of ~Rs 228.3 crore, a sharp jump from ~Rs 38.8 crore in Q4 FY24, but full-year FY25 net profit fell to ~Rs 84.9 crore from ~Rs 178.6 crore in FY24. Standalone revenue declined to ~Rs 4,801 crore in FY25 from ~Rs 5,043 crore, and consolidated revenue dropped to ~Rs 5,603 crore partly due to the divestment of Swiss subsidiary Steiner AG. EBITDA margins expanded significantly to 31% in Q4 FY25 (vs 15% in Q4 FY24) and 19.4% for FY25 (vs 13.6%). Order book stood at ~Rs 11,852 crore, with the company securing new contracts worth ~Rs 5,693 crore during the year and emerging as lowest bidder in projects worth ~Rs 3,513 crore. The company raised ~Rs 350 crore via a Rights Issue in April 2024 and ~Rs 600 crore via a QIP in December 2024, using proceeds to prepay debt and improve liquidity.
Positive near-term momentum from strong Q4 profit and margin expansion, but the full-year profit decline and continued audit qualifications on subsidiary investments and deferred tax assets may keep investor sentiment cautious. Improved debt-equity ratio (0.79x vs 1.92x) and strong order pipeline support the long-term outlook.
