Hindustan Copper received a conditional stay from the Commercial Court in Jabalpur on 16 Sept 2026 against an arbitration award passed against it in a dispute with IVRCL-MCCDL-TCL-DM Consortium. Conditions include depositing 50 percent of the award amount as bank guarantee and remaining 50 percent as bond with asset valuation report. HCL will now pursue its Section 34 application under the Arbitration Act.
Positive relief as the arbitration award is stayed, but HCL must furnish bank guarantee and bond. Section 34 hearing outcome pending.
