BSE and NSE have each imposed a fine of Rs. 9,55,800 (total ~Rs. 19.12 lakh) on Hindustan Copper for non-compliance with SEBI LODR Regulations 17(1), 18(1) and 19(1)/(2) regarding board composition and committee constitution for Q4 ended March 31, 2026. HCL states it is a government company where director appointments are made by the President of India via the Ministry of Mines, and the matter is under consideration. The Board has advised seeking exemption from the fine under the Uniform Carve Out Policy and has escalated the director appointments to the Ministry of Mines.
