Hindustan Motors reported essentially zero revenue from operations for Q3 FY26 (₹Nil) and the first nine months of FY26, with total income of ₹116 lakhs in Q3 and ₹722 lakhs for 9M FY26, sharply down from ₹2,332 lakhs in 9M FY25. Net profit after tax was ₹7 lakhs in Q3 (₹4 lakhs in Q2) and ₹421 lakhs for 9M FY26, supported mainly by ₹361.73 lakhs of old municipal tax liabilities written back. The company has had no manufacturing operations since the Uttarpara plant suspension in May 2014, and the West Bengal government has already taken possession of 395 acres of that land after the Supreme Court dismissed the company's appeal in July 2025. The statutory auditor (KAMG & Associates) has issued a Qualified Conclusion, flagging material uncertainty about the company's ability to continue as a going concern.
Despite a positive PAT, the company has no operating business, lost a major land asset through a court order, and the auditor has flagged a going concern uncertainty, making this a high-risk situation for shareholders with limited clarity on future revenue or business revival.
