HPCL posted Q1 FY27 revenue of Rs 1,45,126 crore, up about 21% YoY, but swung to a standalone net loss of Rs 11,526 crore from a Rs 4,371 crore profit a year ago, citing the West Asia crisis. Consolidated loss was Rs 12,265 crore. GRM surged to US$23.80 per barrel from US$3.08. Refineries ran at 107% capacity with 6.52 MMT throughput. Capex was Rs 1,734 crore. New HRRL refinery began commercial operations on June 22, 2026.
Net loss driven by West Asia crisis may pressure the stock, though strong GRM and new HRRL refinery support the long-term outlook.
